1. Physical properties

The expanded vermiculite has excellent properties such as heat insulation, frost resistance, antiseptic, fireproof, water absorption, sound absorption and so on. The color becomes golden or silver white, forming a loose expansive vermiculite, but it is not acid resistant, and its dielectric properties are also poor.

Expansive vermiculite is a complex hydrous aluminosilicate mineral with complex chemical composition. It is difficult to use single chemical formula because of its unstable variation. Generally speaking, the chemical formula of vermiculite is: (Mg, Ca) 0.7 (Mg, Fe 3+, Al) 6 [(Al, Si) 8 O 20] (OH 4. H 2 H). In general, SiO 237 ~ 42%, Al 2 O 39 ~ 17%, Fe 2 O 35 ~ 18%, MgO11 ~ 23%, H 2 O5 to 11%, Ca, Na, K content is uncertain. But because of the different degree of hydration, oxidation is different, even if it is vermiculite, its chemical composition is also difficult.
